Malia graduated from Calvin College with a Bachelor of Art in Biology with minors in both Spanish and Biochemistry. It was during her undergraduate studies that she realized how passionate she was about health education and promotion. For the past four years, Malia has been working clinically at Holland Hospital in the intensive care and cardiac unit while completing her Master of Public Health from Michigan State University. Caring for patient’s suffering from a variety of chronic health conditions made Malia even more passionate about preventive health and health education. She is eager to use her background to promote whole-being health to corporate communities.
Malia enjoys running, sewing, reading and spending time with her husband. Frequently, their house is full of family and friends as they both really enjoy hosting. If not home, they enjoy hiking, golfing, and relaxing at Silver Lake.
