Expert: Limit photo-taking pressures on the first day of school

Having to take the “perfect photo” can add unnecessary stress to the first day of school.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Chances are your Facebook and Instagram feeds have been filled with darling images of kiddos heading back to school.

Amy Ritsema with OnSite Wellness says, while those photos can be nice keepsakes, don’t put too much pressure on your kids…or yourself… to take the perfect photo.

“Don’t put the pressure on yourself to be like what you see on social media,” says Amy. “That’s not necessarily the reality and we create a lot of extra pressure on ourselves trying to keep up with what we think everyone else is experiencing,” she said.
